Just like our bagels, we source ingredients that make us salivate, and use authentic, traditional methods to craft an even more appetising outcome. Mmmmm New York pizza, there's nothing better (bagels excluded).
How we make them
Size is everything to New Yorkers, so our New York style pizza only comes in Large (14 inch -- still bigger than most other pizza places.) and Jumbo sizes (20 inch -- half a metre or 'massive as' in Kiwi speak). Made with 105 years of tradition in mind, we never overload our big pizza bases. All ingredients are given room to shine on bases that are deliciously thin and crispy.
We have a large selection of pizzas including the famous 'Sal's Pizza', and some vegetarian ones too, but really we'll make it with whatever topping you want. Within reason. Stop dreaming up crazy hypothetical pizza toppings please. All come as a Large pizza (14 inch) or Jumbo pizza (20 inch) and all on our thin crispy base (gluten-free bases also available). The health benefits
Hmmm, is having your spirit uplifted by deliciousness a health benefit? We realise pizza isn't healthier than a fruit platter (which we also make) but it's definitely more nutritious than burger and fries. Oh and it would be irresponsible not to give the following health warning -- watch your knuckles on the door frame if you order a 20 inch pizza to go. Maybe leave it to the experts with our pizza delivery service.
Where the ingredients come from
How lucky are we to live in New Zealand? Seriously, imagine you're a Kiwi pizza maker and you need world class, fresh tomatoes, cheese, olives, sausage, herbs etc. Why would you shop anywhere else? The point is, we don't. 100% New Zealand ingredients wherever possible.
